Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe<\/strong> has admitted his side are still trying to adapt to life without star striker Alexander Isak<\/strong>, whose summer move to Liverpool<\/strong> has left a noticeable gap in the Magpies\u2019 attack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Newcastle were once again left frustrated on the road after a goalless draw against Bournemouth<\/strong> on Sunday, their third consecutive 0-0 stalemate away from home in the Premier League this season. While the defensive resilience is encouraging, the lack of goals is a growing concern.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Howe Calls for Patience<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Speaking after the match, Howe acknowledged the team is in a transitional phase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt\u2019s three 0-0s away from home for us, which is really uncommon with our attacking style,\u201d he said. \u201cNaturally, we\u2019re going to be a different team without Alex. I\u2019m hopeful we\u2019re evolving into a different side, hopefully a better one, but it will take time.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since Isak\u2019s record-breaking transfer to Liverpool, Newcastle\u2019s frontline has lacked the sharp edge that made them one of the league\u2019s most dangerous attacking teams last season. So far, they have managed just three goals in five matches<\/strong>, leaving them 13th in the table with six points<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Woltemade Shows Promise<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Club-record signing Nick Woltemade<\/strong> has been tasked with leading the attack, and while he has shown flashes of promise, Howe believes more familiarity is needed between the German forward and his teammates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI thought Nick played really well today,\u201d Howe said. \u201cHis footwork and link play were very effective. We just need to adjust to his style more and get runners working off him, because that\u2019s where he\u2019s at his best.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Defensive Solidity a Positive<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Despite the attacking struggles, Newcastle have remained solid at the back, with three consecutive clean sheets<\/strong>. Howe praised the defensive organisation but stressed that balance between defense and attack is key if the Magpies want to climb the table.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What\u2019s Next?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
